  • Odd Socks Day

    Fri 06 Nov 2026

On Monday 16th November, we will be celebrating Odd Socks Day as part of Anti-Bullying Week.  Children are invited to come to school wearing their brightest and most colourful odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique. Odd Socks Day is a fun way to promote kindness, respect and inclusion, while reminding us that our differences should be celebrated.  There is no need to buy anything new, just wear your odd socks with pride and help us show that everyone belongs at Medstead!

  • Children in Need

    Fri 06 Nov 2026

Get ready for a cosy day of reading and fundraising!  On Friday 13th November, our Young Governors will be holding a Pyjama Day and Sponsored Reading Challenge in aid of Children in Need. Children are invited to come to school wearing comfy clothes such as pyjamas, dressing gowns and onesies and will take part in a range of fun reading activities during the day.  Money raised will be shared between Children in Need and projects to improve our school. This year, the Young Governors have chosen to focus on enhancing outdoor play and learning by purchasing new play equipment and improving the organisation of our PE and play sheds.  We hope everyone will join in, get reading and help make a difference!
