We are often asked whether parents and carers may take photographs or film performances, class worship and other school events.

To help ensure that everyone can enjoy these occasions, guidance will normally be provided at the start of each event regarding when and where photographs may be taken. In many cases, photography is permitted at the end of the performance to minimise distractions for both the children and the audience.

If you wish to film an event, please speak to the Headteacher in advance. Depending on the venue and seating arrangements, filming may not be possible if it obstructs aisles, affects performers' access, or restricts the view of other guests. In some cases, recording may also be prohibited due to copyright or performance licensing restrictions.

In line with data protection legislation and our commitment to safeguarding, parents and carers should only take photographs or videos of their own child for personal use. Images may be shared with close family and friends but must not be used for commercial purposes.

When sharing photographs or videos online, including on social media, parents and carers should ensure that only their own child is clearly identifiable. Images containing other children should only be shared where the appropriate consent has been obtained from the parents or carers of those children.
