At Medstead CE Primary School, Religious Education is taught as an academic subject that helps children learn about Christianity and a range of religious and non-religious worldviews. Lessons encourage curiosity, respect, discussion and critical thinking, and children are never expected to adopt particular beliefs or take part in acts of worship during RE lessons.

Parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education. If you wish to do so, simply email the school office to let us know, and we will make appropriate arrangements for your child during RE lesson times.
