School Uniform
Our school uniform ensures our children feel a sense of identity with the school, encourages community spirit and helps children feel “ready to learn”. The school values parents’ support in ensuring our children follow our uniform guidelines.
All uniform must be named. Clothes should be washable and comfortable.
Shoes should be black, grey or navy sensible, smart and waterproof, and allow the children to be able to run, turn and jump at speed. If children wear sandals during the summer term, these must still be practical; black, navy or white worn with socks.
Coats should have reflective features where possible and be provided when needed dependent on weather. If coats are not waterproof, a waterproof should also be brought to school as playtimes and lessons continue outside in wet weather. Teachers will let parents know when outdoor learning is planned so wellies can be brought into school. Wellies must be clearly named.
In the summer children need a cap to protect them from the sun, particularly at lunchtime and on school visits.
No jewellery should be worn apart from stud earrings in pierced ears and a watch. Exceptions would be for jewellery of religious significance (through discussion with the Headteacher). These must be removed for PE.
