Spellings

Please try to have a go at remembering the Year 1 common exception words (attached in lists below) and start to learn some of the words on the Year 2 list. We play games to remember these and check these in class, but practising at home would really help too.

Maths

We are currently working on multiplication and division. We would like children to be able to recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers.  You could play a game, show the statements using pieces of pasta or design a poster to show the times table facts. 

We use some free online games in school (links below) and I have also uploaded some activity books to print off. Please do it in a way that works for your child and helps them to understand. If you would like the booklets printing then please let me know.

Reading

Please try and read your school reading book, at least 4 times during the week, and write what you have read in your reading record. Please can the children bring these in everyday.
