Reading

Please enjoy reading books with your child, both those sent home from school and ones you have at home. Talk about the story and ask your child questions. Children are given a phonics book by the adult leading their phonics sessions and these are being sent home on either a 3-day or 5-day cycle. The books are linked to the sounds they are doing in their phonics sessions.

Mathletics

Mathletics logins have been stuck inside the front cover of your child's reading record.

Mathletics tasks will be set weekly.

Spelling

Below is a document containing a list of words that children should be able to read and spell by the end of Year 1. Please practice reading and spelling these words with your children at home.
