Little and often is the key, especially for children who need opportunities for overlearning. Repetition of the same activity means that the child does not have to focus on learning how to do a new activity and can focus their attention on the skill they are learning. Of course, we don't want children to get bored, so it is a good idea to have two or three activities known activities that teach the same skill to be rotated.
