Phonics
Hi Larch Class
This week we will be revising our split digraph vowel sounds and we will look at a different one each day. As you know, we have 5 vowel sounds in the alphabet A,E,I,O and U. There are a few ways to write these sounds (phonemes) in our words (graphemes); this week we are looking at how the vowel sounds are split by a consonant and how we then read and write them. There are lots of different activities to help with your learning. Pick one or two per day, you do not need to do them all! Upload one per day to Tapestry please.
Watch the video to help with your understanding. Remember 'when two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking!'
