Hi Larch Class
Here is your English learning for this week. We are going to be learning about the difference between fact and fiction. Please complete the learning in order. There will be powerpoints and worksheets to help you and activities to complete.
For your fine motor practise, please complete the activities where you can but don't worry if you don't have the resources at home. We can always provide anything you need.
You will find general English resources in the 'Subject overviews' folder. These will help you with your letter formation and spelling.
As always, please feel free to email or give us a ring and we will do what we can to support you.

We are going to be learning about facts. A 'fact' is something which is true. Look at these 4 statements and decide which of these are facts.
Cats have 4 legs
Dogs have 3 eyes
Fish do not like to be in water
Elephants use their trunks to drink
1. With your family, each think of 2 facts about yourselves. Keep them a secret. For example, 'my favourite food is spaghetti' or 'I have 6 pairs of shoes.' Now think of something which is not true, for example 'my favorite food is pineapple.' Now see if you can guess which of these statements are fact and which are not.
2. Write facts about yourself using the template below. This is called a fact file. Fact files give us information about people, objects or animals.
