Exam and Assessment results
This year the KS2 national average scaled score for Reading was 103,
Medstead’s average score for Reading was 105.
For Maths the average scores were 103 nationally and 102 at Medstead.
Overall 74.2% of our children were recorded as having met the expected standard in Reading, 65% in Writing (Teacher Assessed), 74% in Punctuation, Grammar and Spelling, 58.1% in Maths. 45% of children met the expected standard in all three subjects of reading, maths (tests) and writing (teacher assessment).
Our aim in Maths is now to match our excellent scores achieved by the children on the arithmetic paper in the reasoning paper for next year and thereafter, increasing the number of children achieving the expected standard in all three combined subjects.
Across all subjects 9.2% of pupils were reported as working at a higher level in all subjects with 12.9% working at greater depth in Writing.
